Thinking of the future inventions is such a complex one. Since the society is constantly changing, who knows time will come that these inventions will be very much different from today. In vehicle arena, we have the concept car specifically futuristic Nanospyder car.
In California, a team of highly creative Volkswagen designers revealed their concept of future modern transportation. They call it the Nanospyder. The three young designers with the names Patrick Faulwetter, Daniel Simon, and Ian Hilton created it in response to a challenge. The challenge was to design less environment harming vehicle.
The Nanospyder is a Volkswagen, modified to run with the use of nanotechnology. When we talk of nanotechnology, it refers to a field of applied science, to control matter on the atomic and molecular scale (10 -9 of a meter) or smaller, and the fabrication of devices within the size range. The concept is to utilize billion of programmable nano devices. These devices then will be programmed to be as strong or weak depending upon the required specification. The spine was also designed to be strong since the rest of the components are attached to it.
In terms of its outer shell or covering, mixed organic materials with the ability to inflate during impact are utilized. Hydrogen fuel was used to generate power and drive its tiny motors. It has also its solar power features.
Although just a concept car, this gives us the idea of what could be the future vehicle looks like. With the aid of several technologies, this might be realized. Further research will also help improve the said car. With Science and Technology, nothing is impossible as long as people know how to handle it well. All we need to do is to find ways on how to make our life easier without harming the environment and its inhabitants.
